Red Wine

Autochthonous wine obtained from a selection of our Raboso grapes harvested in over-ripening after drying in the plant. Vinification in red and aging are carried out in oak wood. With an intense red color tending to garnet with aging it has an intense, deep, vinous aroma with vanilla and spicy hints. Full-bodied wine with great personality, it has a dry, warm, rightly tannic flavor.

The Raboso grape is a native vine of the province of Treviso, presumably derived from the domestication of wild vines that grew spontaneously on the hills around the Piave river. Its name derives from "rabbioso", that is the impression people had when tasting the wine produced by this grape, which stood out for its acidity and tannins, that combined together give a decidedly astringent effect. This is still the "traditional" interpretation of Raboso wine.
