Red Sparkling Wine from Raboso grapes

Obtained from the vinification of Raboso grapes, it is red on a garnet background, with a full bouquet; it is sweet and harmonious with a slight acidic and tannic note in the mouth, all characteristics of this vine variety.

The Raboso grape is a native vine of the province of Treviso, presumably derived from the domestication of wild vines that grew spontaneously on the hills around the Piave river. Its name derives from "rabbioso", that is the impression people had when tasting the wine produced by this grape, which stood out for its acidity and tannins, that combined together give a decidedly astringent effect. This is still the "traditional" interpretation of Raboso wine. Now emerging producers propose "refined" versions of this wine produced using careful vinification techniques.
